Softball Tournament

Welcome and Thank You for visiting the Jenna M Pellegrini Memorial Softball Tournament website.  This is a yearly Co-Ed Softball Tournament setup to honor the memory of Jenna Marie Pellegrini and Sanctioned by USA Softball of New Hampshire. The goal of the Tournament is to promote & spread awareness to Domestic & Sexual Violence and Drug Addition. The Tournament will provide funds, in Jenna’s name, that will help support these local charities.  New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Haven NH, and SOS Recovery Community Organization.

Jenna was tragically murdered, along with Christine Sullivan, as a result of violence against women by a male acquaintance of Christine’s on January 27th, 2017.  The case is currently still pending a new trial and verdict.  The retrial should be scheduled for later in 2022.  This tournament will be held each year to help bring awareness to this senseless violence and to honor Jenna and Christine's memory.  Jenna was an avid softball player throughout her childhood and High School years.  Jenna once lived across the street from these fields and started her love for softball here in Barrington, NH at the BYA Complex.

Annual Scholarship

We are excited to announce beginning with the Class of 2019, we will be awarding a $1000 Scholarship in memory of Jenna Marie Pellegrini.  The Jenna M Pellegrini Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Dover High School or resident of Barrington, NH graduating from another high school.  Preference will be given to seniors who have participated in the High School Softball Team. This years Co-Ed Softball Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2022. You can sign up any time prior to July 31st. This event is Sanctioned by USA Softball of NH and is providing all the registration,  Scorebooks, Softballs, and Umpire requirements.  The first One Pitch game will start at 9:00 AM and the last game will end by 7:00 PM or sooner. Teams will be given a schedule with their start times at least 2 weeks before the tournament starts. We now have 2 divisions to allow League players (Upper Division) to enjoy a competitive tournament and those Recreational players (Lower Division) that just want to enjoy some recreational fun.  This will be a Round Robin-Double Elimination tournament.  See the Registration page for details and to sign up your team or sign up as a single player looking for a team.

We will be hosting two Home Run Derby's, Male & Female, from 12:00- 1:00 PM for anyone wishing to join in. This will be a $5 entrance fee per player collected prior to the derby for a total of 5 strikes/pitches. Both Male & Female Winners will receive a trophy and a $25 gift certificate to a local establishment along with the usual bragging rights.

Each year we host an all inclusive family & friends exhibition softball game in honor of Jenna & Christine at 12:00 noon. This game is just for fun and anyone 8 years old  or older is welcome to join in on the fun. This is really for the kids but anyone can join in.  We will form both teams from the singles player registration list on this website so make sure you sign-up ahead of time to secure a spot and T-Shirt. Its first come first served so when you sign up, indicate you would like to play in this exhibition game, not the tournament. Team Jenna vs Team Christine

Typically we host a raffle of donated items from the local community and dedicated supporters from around the country, including Red Sox tickets, concert tickets, sports memorabilia, gift certificates, gift baskets, tournament t-shirts, and many more items as listed on the raffle page.  ** This year we would like to help out those sponsors that have helped us in the past by asking everyone, willing and able, to purchase a Gift Certificate or item from their favorite business and donate that for this years raffle.  Please help the local community that has been hit so hard during this pandemic.**  (Send an email to info@jennapellegrini.org to indicate anything your able to donate)  Check the  Tournament Raffle Page for a list of donations for this years raffle. These are updated online as they are received so visit often or follow our Facebook feed.  We will also host a 50/50 cash raffle where half the money raised will go to the winning ticket holder and the other half to local charities.
